Terms of Service

Last updated: October 6, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Brixl, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have read and understood these Terms of Service, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

Brixl is a job marketplace connecting trade professionals (construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related industries) with employers. We provide tools for job posting, applications, profile management, and professional networking.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating and maintaining your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings; harass, abuse, or harm other users; violate any applicable laws or regulations; collect or store personal data about other users without their consent; or impersonate any person or entity.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to Brixl. By posting content, you grant Brixl a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely in connection with operating and improving our services.

6. Privacy

Your use of Brixl is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We collect, use, and protect your personal data as described therein. By accepting these Terms, you also consent to our Privacy Policy. You control the visibility of your profile information and who may message you through the privacy settings in your account. By default, direct messages are restricted to mutual connections only; you may change this at any time in Settings.

7. Job Postings and Applications

Brixl does not guarantee employment outcomes. We are not responsible for the accuracy of job postings or the conduct of employers or applicants. All hiring decisions are made solely by the respective employers. Brixl is not a staffing agency.

8. Subscriptions and Billing

Brixl is free to use for job seekers. Companies can choose a paid subscription plan to publish job postings and show social links on their profile; the features and monthly limits of each plan are shown in the company’s Billing tab. Subscriptions are offered to businesses for business use.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in US dollars and renew automatically at the start of each billing period until cancelled. Prices do not include taxes; where we are required to charge tax, it is shown at checkout. A company’s owner can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Billing tab. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged the prorated difference for the rest of the current period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period, and the plan’s features remain available until then.

Two exceptions end a subscription immediately rather than at the end of the period: deleting the company, and transferring company ownership when the departing owner chooses to cancel the subscription. In both cases paid features stop right away and no refund is given for the unused part of the period.

Payments are non-refundable, including for partially used periods, except where required by law. If a payment fails and is not resolved, the subscription ends and the company returns to the free plan. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe; Brixl never stores your payment card details. We may change plan prices or features with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

9. Ending Your Account

You can delete your personal account at any time from Settings. It is deactivated immediately, and you can restore it by signing back in within 30 days; after that it is permanently anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy. A company owner can delete a company at any time; company deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. Brixl may suspend or close accounts or remove content that breaks these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

The Brixl platform, including its design, logos, and software, is owned by Brixl Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our express written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Brixl Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our services.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the app (and you may be asked to accept the updated Terms), and continued use of Brixl after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
